AIA Group is the largest insurance company in Hong Kong. As of March 2011 AIA Group had 21 thousand employers, the market value of the corporation was nearly 36 billion dollars, and the sales – nearly 15 billion dollars.
AIA Group has branches and subsidiaries in China, Macao, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, South Korea, Japan, India, Australia and New Zealand. Before the financial crisis of 2008 the company was included in AIG group, but in 2009 it became independent. The company is headquartered in AIA Central, Hong Kong.
